Siegen: Environmental pioneers discuss the rights of nature

“It was clear to me that you were an important player in environmental economics. But I didn’t realize how important!” Prof. Peter Krebs, Vice Dean for Research and Teaching at the University of Siegen, was visibly impressed by the achievements of Prof. Eberhard Seidel. In his welcome address at the University of Siegen, Prof. Krebs expressed his appreciation and highlighted Prof. Seidel’s pioneering role:  “In 1980, the year the Green party were first elected into the Bundestag, you were already dealing with operational environmental management.”

The symposium was held in Siegen in honor of Prof. Eberhard Seidel’s 80th birthday.
